Terms of Use for Gym Notes Assistant

License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Gym Notes Assistant on devices that you own or control, for your own fitness planning and logging purposes, in accordance with these Terms and any applicable app-store rules.

Nature of the Service

The App is provided primarily as a local utility:

• core workout data is stored on your device;
• no account is required to use the main features;
• optional features (such as equipment photos, video links, offline media, widgets, or backup export/import) depend on your device capabilities and permissions.

The App is a personal training aid. It is not medical advice, coaching certification, or an emergency service. Always exercise safely and consult qualified professionals when needed.

Your Content and Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• the accuracy and legality of information you enter (exercise instructions, notes, media, and links);
• media you capture or import (equipment photos, offline videos);
• backups you export and where you store or share them;
• complying with third-party terms when you open external video URLs or other links.

You must not use the App to store or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.

Intellectual Property

All rights to intellectual property with respect to the App and its components (including software, branding, and design) belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer (except where mandatory law allows), or use the App or its components beyond the license granted above without our express written permission.

Your own workout content remains yours. We do not claim ownership of the exercise text, photos, or plans you create locally.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to disrupt its operation, bypass security or store protections, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• loss of local data (for example after device failure, OS updates, uninstall, or clearing storage);
• incorrect training loads or technique decisions you make based on information in the App;
• unavailability of optional features (widgets, Live Activities, camera, offline video, or sharing);
• issues caused by third-party stores, devices, or external websites/videos you open from the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to Terms of Use

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use at any time. If we make changes, we will publish them (for example in the App listing, project documentation, or an in-app notice), and they will take effect from the time of publication unless stated otherwise. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes regarding these Terms of Use or the App as a whole, such disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
